Who own Pakistani Media



Now a days role of Pakistani media is highly critised by General Public of Pakistan. Today we are going to look who owns Pakistan Media Giants

1. Express Group

         Express group is owned by Lakson Group, Lakson group is owned by Lakhanis a business family in Pakistan. Key people of Lakhani group are Sultan Ali Lakahni and Iqbal Ali Lakahni.

 Express group is currently running Express News, Daily Express, Daily Express Tribune and Express Entertainment. Kal tak hosted by Javed Chaudry and Takrar by Imran Khan are its two major shows


2.Dunya Group

        Dunya group is owned by Mian Amir Mehmood who also served as mayor of Lahore. Dunya group is running Dunya news and Daily Dunya.

Mian Amir Mehmood also owns University of Central Punjab, Punjab Group of Colleges and Allied Schools system. Dunya Kamran Khan k Sath by Kamran Khan, On the Front by Kamran Shahid and Mazaq Raat by Wasay Chaudry are it's popular tv shows.


3. Geo/Jang Group

       Geo is owned by independent media corporation, which is owned by Mir Shakeel ur Rehman and Mir Khaleel ur Rehman.

This group is running Geo News, Geo Super, Geo Entertainment, Geo Tez, Geo Kahani, Daily Jang, Daily News International, weekly Akhbar e Jahan magzine and weekly english The MAG magzine. Capital Talk hosted by Hamid Mir and Ajj Shahzeb Khanzada k sath by Shahzeb Khanzada are its popular shows.


4. ARY Group



     Ary is now owned by Salman Iqbal.
 Ary group is currently running Ary News, Ary Zindagi, Ary Musik, Ary Zauq, Ary Digital, Nickelodeon Pakistan and HBO Pakistan.

 Salman Iqbal also owns a team in Pakistan Super Leauge Karachi Kings. Off the record by Kashif Abbassi and 11th Hour by Waseem Badami are it's major shows.



5. HUM Network

       HUM network is owned by Mazhar ul Haq Siddiqui and Sultana Siddiqui.

HUM netowrk is running Hum tv, Hum news, Masala Tv and Hum Sitary. Nadeem Malik live is it's important show



6. SAMAA Group

       Samaa group is owned by Jaag Broadcasting System.

Jaag Broadcasting System is owned by Zafar Siddiqui. Zafar Siddiqui also owns CNBC Africa.



7. TV one group

      TV one group is owned by Airways Media Group. Seema Taher Khan is the owner of this group. Currently this group is running TV, News One and Waseb TV.



8. Dawn Media Group

       Dawn Group is owned by Haroon Hameed and Amber Haroon Saigol.

 This group currently runs Dawn News, Daily Dawn, Daily The Star(evening), Monthly Hearld and City FM 89.



 9. Capital TV

       HB media Pvt Ltd owns Capital Tv.

 HB media is owned by Basit Riaz Sheikh is son of Ahmed Riaz Sheikh.


10. APNA Network

       Apna network is running AB TAK News, Jalwa, 8XM and Apna tv.
 It is owned by Syed Fahad Ali Shah.



11. AAJ Group

       AAJ group is owned by Business Recorder group. Business Recorder is owned by Wamiq Zuberi son of M.A Zuberi(late).

This group is running Daily Business Recorder, AJJ News and AJJ TV.



12. NEO News
   
  Its is owned by Superior Group. Superior group is owned by Prof. Dr Ch Abdul Rehman.

Superior group is also running Superior group of Colleges and University.



13. 92 News

       92 news is owned by Galaxy broadcasting. Galaxy Broadcasting is owned by Mian Muhammad Hanif.

 Mian Hanif also owns Madina group which runs University of Faisalabad and Kesan Ghee.



14. Waqt Group

       Waqt group owns Daily Nawai Waqt and Waqt News(closed).

It is owned by Rameeza Nizami and Arif Nizami.



15. 24 News

         24 News is owned by City News Network.

City News Network is running 24 News, Citt 42, City 41 and Rohi TV. This group is owned by Mohsin Naqvi



16. G News

        G News is a new addition in Pakistani media industry. G News is owned by Gourmet food. Owner of gourmet is Ch Muhammad Nawaz Chattah.

Summary of fake accounts case

Supreme court of Pakistan is hearing now a days an important case which can disturb the politics of country at the national level. The story of fake accounts started back in 2015 when a case was registered against Hussain Lawai former Chairman of Pakistan stock exchange and a close friend of PPP co chairman Asif Ali Zardari.                            Hussain Lawai       Progress in case was very slow and Governments of previous parties were not cooperating with investigations.
