Are you a food lover and currently on visit to Pakistan or planning a visit to Pakistan. Good news for food lovers is that Pakistani dishes are famous worldwide for their finger licking unique and awesome taste. Today we are going to mention some of the very delicious and famous dishes of Pakistan
1. Briyani
                   

                Well you must have heard of it right?. Briyani is most famous dish of South Asia and Pakistan has got very delicious briyani for you to try. Briyani is made up of rice mixed with meat of either chicken, mutton, beef or sometimes fish and different types of spices. Another important factor which is matter of debate that potato should be added or not, but it all depends on you. Traditionally Briyani is served with Raita(yogurt mixed with spices and vegetables) and fresh Salad. Briyani in little modified form is also found in central Asian states.
2. Paye

               Paya commonly known as Paye and used mostly in breakfast, is another famous dish among the cuisine of Pakistan. Paya are made up of trotters of goat or cow, mixed with different types of spices. A modified form is Siri Paye where siri means head and paye means feet is also found in major cities of Pakistan. Paye are served with Naan( a type of bread) or Roti, which ever you want.
3. Sajji

           Origin of Sajji can be traced down to modern day Balochistan province of Pakistan. Sajji is made of chicken or mutton marinated in salt, stuffed with rice and than roasted over coal in skewers for a period of time. Sajji is served with Raita, fresh Salad and Bread.
4. Chappal Kebab
    

           Made from the mince of either mutton or beef like a petty, chappal kebab is most famous dish of Peshawar. It got it's name from "Chaprikh" which in pushto means flat. Usually it's available all over Pakistan as a street food and is made on large frying pans. Chappal kebab is served with Raita, Bread and Salad and Qehwa(green tea)
5.  Karahi
        

            It's also a meat dish made from chicken or mutton, with a blend of spices. Karahi got it's name from the container in which it's made and than it's served in the same container. It's the most common dish of Pakistan and is availble everywhere inside Pakistan. It is also served with bread and Raita along with Salad.
6.   Nihari
                  

                 Made from shank meat of mutton or beef, Nihari is one of the most famous dish in Pakistan. This dish originated from Delhi and after 1947 it was introduced in Pakistan and since than it has got attention of every foodie who visits Pakistan. Nihari is mostly a breakfast item and is served with lemon, bread and skimmed milk.
7.     Taka Tak
      

             You enter in to the Food street of Lahore and a sound will echo your ear in a rhythm and it's just awesome, soon you will come to know that it's coming from a frying pan over which Taka Tak is made. Made from a mix of Kidney, Lungs and meat Taka Tak is a must try if you want to experience Pakistani food.
8.   Halwa

           It's a desert made of different things and has many types. Most common types of this dish are Gajjar(carrot) ka Halwa, Chakwali Halwa, Sohan Halwa and Suji Halwa. It's important to find true taste at a good restaurant as many restaurants claim to be good in making halwa but in reality there are only few who are expert.
