Nawab Sir sadiq Muhammad Khan a forgotten Hero of Pakistan


Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan was last nawab of State of Bhawalpur. Nawab sb was born in Derawar as only son of his father. His father died when he was three years old. He succeeded the thorn at very young age. Nawab sb completed his earlier education from Aitchison college Lahore and later went to England for higher education. He owned famous Noor mahal and Darbar Mahal was his offical residence.

       Nawab sb was very close friend of founder of Nation Quaid e Azam and helped the new state of Pakistan in best possible way. He paid the salary of government offical for one month from personal treasury, before the divided assests of state of India under British Raj could reach Pakistan. Not only that nawab sb also donated 70million coins of that time to new state of Pakistan. He helped refugees by buidling refuge camps for migrated Muslims  of India. Nawab sb was entrusted friend of Jinnah, he rerpesented Pakistan at coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Nawab sb also gifted Quaid e Azam a Rolls Royce and his home.



      Nawab sb was very generous for education and gave funds for set up of state of the art Sadiq Public School, nawab sb provided his personal property for Punjab University, King Edward Medical college and mosque of Aitchison College Lahore. Nawab sb also funded for Islamia University Bhawalpur and Sadiq Public Library.

       Nawab sb died in 1966 and buried in ancestral graveyard in Drewar. Nawab sb is found no where today in history books of Pakistan. we pay salute and respect to this great man.
