Cellular will remain suspended during Aushra



Like every year, Cellular services in different Areas of Karachi will remain suspended during Aushra.
         Cheif Secretary of Sindh in letter has requetsed PTA to suspend cellular services for three days in Karachi.


         The letter states that
"[Law enforcement agencies] have requested for suspension of cellular services including internet on 8th, 9th, 10th during Muharram-ul=Haram 1440 Hijri (2018) from 0700-2359 hours in different areas of Sindh as mentioned in the letter of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) as there are apprehensions of coordination of criminal activity by miscreants/criminals through the use of cellular phones/internet during Muharram related Majlis and processions."

         Gov of sindh has also requested PTCL and interior ministry to suspende the services in Karachi in different areas.
         In other majir cities like Islamabd Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta it expected that services will be suspended for few hours during the times of ceremonies of Aushra, however about above mentioned cities no offical confirmation has been made.

Great Wall of Sindh, Ranikot Fort
